Headed up by Marlise Potgieter, August Collective was established in 2016. She founded the company after an in-depth eight-year stint working for a long-standing and highly successful public relations consultancy across a wide variety of consumer brands and industry associations.

Marlise holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) (2005) honours degree in management from the University of South Africa (UNISA), and a BCom degree in marketing and communications management from the University of Pretoria (UP) (2002).

At August Collective, she is supported by experience and events specialist, Elizna van Eeden.
